Last Few Moments With My Dog. OH! This Broke Me Down
I’msorry for your loss, and although I don’t know you, I’m proud of you for making such a brave piece of film. You treated ODEN’s life and death with such astounding respect, and that’s what makes this beautiful, the love. Below is a poem for all who has ever lost a beloved pet. Hope it gives you comfort to think that your pet is waiting for you and you will see them again.
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together….

About The Author
I’m sorry to hear that. Anyway, it’s a great poem. Very nice!
That was an amazing poem. And the video…I cried with them.
What a powerful film.
Beautiful video. >Animals can be such great friends. Not holding on to a pet who is in pain ( for selfish reasons ) can be the hardest decision, but it`s the right decision. RESPECT!
that was a beautiful film. it reminded me of when we put my dog down. it was her time and i know she is waiting for me.
This made me cry so badly. I love all dogs that I come across, and I rescued a three legged chihuahua, and she has been a part of my life for nearly three years now. I know I will be inconsolable when she passes. But we will continue to rescue and foster dogs because they need us, and I can’t wait to see all of them again one day at the Rainbow Bridge.
